About Us
WEAVER PRESS is a small independent publishing house formed in 1998 to publish books from and about Zimbabwe. The company endeavours to ensure that good creative writing, and the results of research and scholarship are made available within the country and not only in foreign markets.
Weaver’s growing list focuses on political and social history, the environment, media issues, and women’s and children’s rights. Their growing fictions list now contains several prize-winning Zimbabwean authors as well reflecting many younger voices in their short-story anthologies.
