Lawrence Hoba was born in 1983 in Masvingo. He studied Tourism and Hospitality Management at the University of Zimbabwe. Hoba’s short stories and poetry have appeared in the Mirror, the magazine of the Budding Writers of Zimbabwe, and various blogsites including www.zimbablog.com. Lawrence was published in Writing Now (2005) and Laughing Now (2007) and has currently completed working on a collection of his short stories The Trek and other stories which has won the ZBPA award for best fiction in 2010.
